This tutorial is entitled, Picking Up Stitches on the Fly. I know that’s a mouthful, but bear with me. I don’t know about you but I hate having to go back and pick up stitches around necklines and armholes. So…what to do. How about picking them up and putting them on a circle needle as you go? It took a bit of doing, but I finally figured it out. The finished product looked real good. Here it is-
As you can see here all the stitches are ready to go. The only drawback is that you need to have some extra circle needles in smaller sizes to use for sliding the new stitches on.
However, Knit Picks has them for very little cost. And, they are sharp and flexible.
