Creative Knitting – Beyond Knit and Purl

I know this isn’t a natural part of my website genre, but I thought I would add this page to share my needle tatting projects.  I have had sooooooooooooo much fun creating birthday presents and gifts for friends and family, to go along with my knitting.  Another thing that needle tatting offers is the ability to create something in a very small amount of time.  The best part is that if I want a new pair of earrings to match an outfit, it only takes me a short time to whip them out.  A quick squirt of hair spray an off I go, sporting my new “doodads.”

I just finished the set below today for a dear friend.

I love working with pearls.  This particular design uses, silver lined seed beads, silver filigree metal balls, and 4 mm pearls, with the pearl drop at the center.   I had fun figuring this one out, and am very happy with the results.
