Here is a picture of the lady who started it all. She is the one who started me knitting, and inspired me to write one of my favorite songs, entitled, “She Lived What She Believed. Every time I sing it people come up to me with tears in their eyes, as it reminds them how precious memories of loving family can be.
Here is the song –She Lived What she Believed Click on the “notes” and be patient. This is a wave file, and takes a bit to upload.
She is the one who spoke to me about Jesus, as I sat at her knee holding my little arms out so she could wrapped hanks of yarn into balls.
My grandmother, Maria Elizabeth Frisch , patiently taught me to work with my hands, and encouraged me to use my imagination-to figure things out. Her wonderful example has been the inspiration for many of my creative works, several of which are list below. Please feel free to download these files and share them with your families.

Dear J,
Like you, I love to learn “new” old things, and I enjoy learning from a knitter with your kind of imagination! I have downloaded all your tutorials so I know how I will spend the next few days. I have been knitting for over 50 years, but am learning a lot from you. Thanks for sharing!
Have to say both these ladies are wonderful! , for one is my mother and the other my GreatGgrandmother;) … and yes, I too work with my hands and love music. If there is something new to learn about knitting, music, or life at all.. my Mom will be sure to learn it.
Susan you are richly blessed to have such leaders, not everyone has a role model such as this. May you continue passing this along to others as your Mother and Grandmother have.
the world is a better place because of you ladies.
Thank you
